The Department of Laboratory Medicine of Allied Care Experts (ACE) Medical Center - Baypointe, provides both anatomic and clinical pathology services for the diagnosis, management, and prevention of a wide variety of diseases. It is committed to perform the latest and most trusted methods of pathology and clinical laboratory testing that will guarantee accuracy and quality of each analysis.
Anatomic Pathology
This service deals with all routine histopathologic and cytologic processing or examination of organs, tissues and body fluids for early detection of tumors.
Clinical Pathology
This service deals with all routine and special examination of blood and other body fluids which primarily aids clinicians in accurate diagnosis and monitoring of diseases of their patients.
Clinical pathology consists of six sections which are focused on providing quality laboratory examinations and analyses on both in and out-patients:
Hematology
This section deals with blood samples that consequently provide a clinical picture of the patient�s health through determination of blood cell counts and detection of cell abnormalities.
Clinical Microscopy and Parasitology
This section deals with human excreta, urine, and stool to determine problems in the gastrointestinal and genitourinary tract.
Clinical Chemistry
This section deals with testing of serum and other body fluids to detect any abnormalities in specific organs of the body.
Immunology and Serology
This sections deals with the examination of blood samples to aid in the diagnosis of diseases involving antigen - antibody reactions altering normal body functions.
Bacteriology
This section deals with detection, identification and sensitivity testing of causative bacteria that causes disease in the body.
This section deals with blood donation, blood component preparation, blood screening, proper blood typing and cross matching of patient's and donor's blood for blood transfusion.
